About Us

Growing up, I remember going to the local store and being able to buy a pack of cigarettes for $5. Fast forward to today and you’d be hard pressed to find a pack for under $20! 

How It All Started

My brother and I are First Nations however we did not grow up on the reserve, nor were we integrated into the Aboriginal community (we were adopted). 

My adopted mother one day decided to reach out to the adoption agency to try and get me in touch with blood relatives. My birth mother had since passed away but they were able to locate her brother/ my uncle. 

He came to visit and while outside having a smoke with him, he asked me how much I was paying for my cigarettes. Boy was he shocked when he heard I was paying $20 for a pack! He explained to me how they pay less than $5 bucks a pack on his reserve! That is when the lightbulb moment happened.

Why We Do What We Do

I thoroughly understand that we are living in very hard economic times, so I made it my mission to try and help struggling Canadians save a bit of money (or in this case, a lot of money). That is when GSO was born, Get Smokes Online is dedicated to providing affordable and accessible tobacco  products to our communities across Canada.

Not only are we providing affordable high quality tobacco products to Canadians, we are also giving back to our own community and finally feel like we’re helping our heritage grow. Not only do we employ a staff that comprises of over 75% First Nations, we support our fellow First Nations reserves that cultivate, harvest, and process the tobacco that we love and enjoy.

Here at GSO, it is our mission to continue providing affordable tobacco and enriching our community while doing so.
